Dr. Gerace has specialized expertise on treating the intersections of mental health and physical symptoms. This includes disorders of "functional" nature and commonly co-morbid psychiatric conditions. For children and adults suffering from functional disorders such as functional gastrointestinal disorders or functional neurological disorder both management and understanding of the illnesses can be challenging. Dr. Gerace has special expertise in managing functional disorders from a psychiatric perspective through therapy, parent/partner education/guidance and medication management.
Commonly co-morbid disorders Dr. Gerace treats but are not limited to, include trauma spectrum disorders, ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, major depressive disorder and other anxiety disorders.
